They also trialed different ways of packaging our protein bites, coating them in various things from coconut, to ground sunflower seeds, carob powder and ground nuts. Look out for these coming into production soon!
The food technology class did a great job of making organic, raw apricot balls which we will take to the Feilding Farmers’ Market. These fit to several of the principals of sustainable food we are studying, including plant-based, organic and no packaging or waste. They turned out so delicious, made with almonds, walnuts, coconut oil, dried apricots, orange zest and lemon juice.
