Last week at Youth Space… We have high-quality, spray-free, red capsicums in season, which are delicious filled with seasoned quinoa and roasted. So that was the menu for Youth Space this last week. Many of the Hands-On Team had not cooked quinoa before.
Quinoa is quite high in protein and is a complete protein, having all the amino acids present. It takes less time to cook than rice and can be used as a protein substitute wherever rice is used.
