Rainbow salad in a jar…

Today Carncot looked at one of the biggest organs in the body – the liver. It’s responsible for our energy levels, for getting rid of poisons, and for storing nutrients for later use. Signs of an unhappy liver are as simple as being tired all the time, bloating, and foggy brain. What kind of foods help the liver? We figured out that processed foods and fatty foods are not  helpful for the liver, while fresh fruit and vegetables are what really help the liver to give us energy.

So let’s make a salad in a jar! Our focus was on careful cutting of a wide variety of tasty veggies. Then we layered them, along with rice, beans, fresh herbs and nuts. All with a fresh-made salad dressing.
